Gastronomy in Bad Arolsen

We serve our guests coffee and cake, ice cream and small snacks right at the mobile home port. You can relax and enjoy your holiday with a cold beer on our outdoor terrace with a view of the lake.

There are numerous restaurants and cafés around the Twistesee and the surrounding area that invite you to linger. From restaurants serving traditional home cooking to the Wetterburg adventure restaurant with its special themed menus, the Twistesee has a lot to offer.

In the Wetterburg you can expect, among other things, a "knight's meal with spectacle and entertainment, drink and culinary delights" or a delicious meal by candlelight, where hundreds of candles illuminate the Wetterburg in a romantic light!

In the unique Café im See with the wonderful view over the Twistesee, home-baked cakes and fresh waffles with cherries and cream are served daily.

Numerous restaurants in the area invite hikers and cyclists to stop for a break. Take a break at the Fischhaus when hiking through the Waldeck region and relax in the idyllic beer garden. The Restaurant Café `Zum Fischhaus´ has been a popular destination for walkers and hikers since the middle of the last century.

Take a bike ride to the Kugelsburg, about 7 km away, and the popular Café & Restaurant "Zur Kugelsburg". The guest rooms have 100 indoor seats and 120 terrace seats with a panoramic view over the roofs of the town of Volkmarsen, and serve home-style cooking as well as coffee and cake. The Sunday "all-you-can-eat" buffet is very popular. A rustic mercenary meal is available from Thursday to Sunday upon advance reservation.
